VARIETAL: 43% Rufete, 42% Tempranillo, 15% Garnacha
VINEYARD: 3 plots, one at 2,625 feet, two at 2,300 feet with vines over 70 years old. Granitic soils.
FARMING PRACTICES: Organically grown, dry farmed, planted in terraces. Hand harvested into 22lb boxes.
WINEMAKING: Careful de-stemming and selection. Spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts. All movement of grapes, must and wine done by gravity. Aged 12 months in French oak. Minimally fined or filtered.
TASTING NOTES: Beautiful bright cherry red. Complex aromas of red fruit, fresh flowers, mineral notes and hints of toasted wood. Full bodied structure with a long finish.
