ABOUT BUSSI PIERO
The Bussi Family has been growers and winemakers for 4 generations in Calosso, surrounded by the green hills of Asti. After the first World War, Agostino Bussi began to make wine out of Barbera and Nebbiolo grapes on just a small plot of land. Throughout the generations, passion and proud tradition has led the Bussi family to create honest and authentic wines with great representation of the region.
The vineyard sits on white calcareous, marl soils with continental climates. The winery uses environmentally friendly practices only. The winemaking team works obsessively in the vineyard. Their philosophy is to focus more on the grapes during the growing and harvest seasons allowing the grape to naturally reach its full expression.
Piero and Federico, father and son, maintain traditional vineyard and winemaking practices with a modern touch. Federico desires to keep his father’s teachings and continue the family tradition.
The resulting wines are beautifully elegant with excellent purity and aromas.
