COLLINE SAN BIAGIO
ABOUT COLLINE SAN BIAGIO:
Colline San Biagio is located in Carmignano, in the heart of the Tuscan countryside. To be exact, it is in the hamlet of Bacchereto, the place where Leonardo da Vinci spent his earliest years, at his grandparents’ farm, just a stone’s throw from the vineyards. The Estate has been cultivated by the same family since the 1800s, passed down from one generation to the next. Passion for wine and respect for tradition have remain constant over time.
Meticulous care in tending the vineyards, hand harvesting of only the best grapes and traditional winemaking combine to produce unique wines with a sense of place.
The Grand Duke Cosimo III de Medici in 1716 declared the territory of Carmignano an area of production of wines of excellent quality thus creating the first "Denomination of Controlled Origin".
