about domaine D'astruc
The Domaine D'Astruc winery lies at the end of a winding road in the Limoux region of Southwest France, 30 miles from the Mediterranean Sea. The area is well known for its sparkling wines. Indeed, the first production method for sparkling wines was discovered by the monks of Saint-Hilaire Abbey in 1531 at one of the local wineries still in operation.
The winery is nestled behind the Corbièrs mountains, in the foothills of the Pyrenees Mountains with an ideal microclimate and soils for the cultivation of world class Chardonnays.
The Domaine D'Astruc winery is committed to sustainable growing practices and encourages biodiversity in and around their vineyards. They are members of Terra Vitis, an organization that certifies sustainable farming practices. The Domaine D'Astruc vines enjoy chalky soils and the winery maintains low yields.
