We are Stéphanie and Jérôme, brother and sister, and we represent the 5th generation of our family. Our family vineyards are in Saint Sernin du Plain, just 30 minutes south of Beaune. Located between the prestigious Côte de Beaune and the picturesque Côte Chalonnaise, our estate enjoys a unique location. Our plots are all planted in low density. The terroir in Saint Sernin du Plain is characterized by clays and sandstone banks. In Sampigny les Maranges, Dezize les Maranges, Paris l'Hôpital, and Cheilly les Maranges the terroir is clay-limestone.
We maintain natural grassing between rows of vines. This approach helps to maintain biodiversity in our vineyard. We favor traditional ploughing to work the soils, it makes it possible to aerate the soil, limit the growth of weeds and promote the development of the roots of the vine. Our approach to farming is deeply respectful of the environment.
At the cellar, we work to highlight the vintage and terroir, while minimizing any intervention. The wine itself dictates the rhythm of its elaboration.
We attach great importance to the lunar cycle in our work. The "flower" days lead to the expression of the aromas and flavors of wine. This is a moment when wine seems to deploy all its aromatic complexity. The "fruit" days highlight the fruity of the wine, giving it additional freshness and balance. As for the descending moon, this phase is recognized for promoting the clarification and stability of the wine. This is the ideal time to proceed with the removal and bottling, thus ensuring that our wines are as pure and stable as possible when they reach your table.
Our red wines that are characterized by a beautiful aromatic intensity, finesse and a balanced structure. Our white wines are distinguished by their seductive bouquet, their finesse and the sought-after minerality. Our commitment to the land, terroir and quality is reflected at every stage of our work.
