SOILS: Calcareous clay and sandy soils

WEATHER: Mediterranean

VINES: Traditional Trellis.

HARVEST: Entirely made by hand in small crates on the 2nd half of September

IN THE CELLAR:

FERMENTATION: Traditional

TREATMENTS: No chaptalization and acidification at all. The idea is to stay natural as much as possible.

PRESSING: Traditional.

MALOLACTIC: Yes.

OAK BARREL AGING: No.

FINING/ FILTRATION: The wine is allowed to settle naturally by gravity and is only minimally fined or filtered. All work in the winery is done with gravity, without the use of pipes or pumps.

SULFITES: Minimum

WINEMAKER: Graziana Grassini

PHILOSOPHY: We believe that the best wines are born in the vineyard.

TASTING NOTES: Ruby red color with rich aromas of currants and blackberries. The palate is vivacious with a burst of red berries and the soft, rounded tannins characteristic of Sangiovese.
