Medulas

Brothers Andrés and Ramón Serrano Arriezu belong to a family with a long tradition in making wine. They have a deep respect for their land and cultivate following only biodynamic practices. The vineyards are all dry farmed and not tilled. The soil is fertilized by the native plants natural cover. When needed, plant cures are made with natural plant extracts. Environmentally friendly, organic products are paired with techniques such as using the crushed vine shoots as mulch and planting wildflowers to attract pollinators. No chemicals are used. The vineyards have been part of the family for several generations. They aim to make wine that fully expresses the character of the place they are from.

All the grapes are hand harvested and in the winery fermentation takes place spontaneously with the native yeast only. No winemaking additives are used and the wines are only minimally filtered. Certified biodynamic with Demeter.
