About Legado MuÑoz
The Muñoz family has been making wine in Noblejas for six generations. Bienvenido Muñoz, was chosen 'Winemaker of the Year' in Castilla la Mancha in 2004. Dry farming, low rainfall, with less than 400 mm per year which, old vines and shallow calcareous soils combine to produce unique and structured wines. Yields are kept strictly low and the average age of the vines is +30 years
While these soil-climatic conditions provide low yields, they also ensure a grape capable of producing extraordinarily concentrated and aromatic wines.
The family recently painstakingly restored their old 17th century subterranean cellar, dug by hand into the bedrock, to age the wines in perfect conditions of temperature and humidity.
The wines of Bodegas Munoz can be found in several of the best restaurants in Spain.
