ABOUT DOMAINE DE LERY
Domaine de Lery is located in Vineuil, overlooking the Loire River. The estate is surrounded by the famous castles of Chambord, Cheverny, and Blois. The philosophy is to produce quality wines with maximum care for the environment. The winery is a member of Terra Vitis, an organization that certifies sustainable farming. They encourage biodiversity in the estate and no fertilizers are used.
The entire vineyard lies on a thick layer of Beauce limestone, partly covered with a blend of siliceous clay, sand and rock. The average vine age ranges from 20 to over 50 years old. The grapes undergo spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts. A slow fermentation then takes place at low temperature.
Today, Audrey and Marion, the family's 3rd generation, carefully produce classic, elegant, and balanced wines.
