about HAGN
The Hagn family has been growing grapes in the small village of Mailberg for generations. Located in the heart of the deep, wind-protected Pulkautal Valley, this is one of the most well-known wine-growing regions in the Weinviertel. The vines thrive on the sun-drenched slopes, where the soils are particularly chalky and covered with loamy sand and loess. This, combined with a unique microclimate, gives the wines their distinctive freshness and complex aromas.
In our family, we don’t just aim to pass on knowledge and experience to the next generation—we also want to leave our children and grandchildren a land we can be proud of. That’s why we protect it. We are proud to be sustainably certified: we source everything we can locally, and all our electricity comes from the sun via solar panels.
