The Piersanti winery was founded in 1955 by Giovanni Piersanti and his son Carlo. Later on Carlo’s sons, Giuliano and Ottavio, continued the family tradition. They have inherited from their father the passion for hard work and receive great satisfaction in keeping the family tradition.
As one of the most famous and historic Marche appellations, Castelli di Jesi has been nicknamed “the white Barolo” for its profound depth of complexity and its ability to age. Noted for producing a rounder expression of Verdicchio, this region has the influence from the Adriatic Sea and a unique composition of clay and limestone soils. Jesi has been producing wine since the height of the Roman Empire. Literally translated to “little green one”, Verdicchio makes classic, fresh, and powerful white wines.
