VARIETAL: 100% Nero D'Avola
VINEYARD: 2 plots, one at sea level, with limestone rich soils; the other at 1,000 feet altitude with clay and gravel soil.
FARMING PRACTICES: Organically grown. Hand harvested into 30lb boxes. No chemicals used (pesticides, fertilizers, additives, etc).
WINEMAKING: Spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts. Almost no fining. Sulfites ≤35 mg/L.
TASTING NOTES: Ruby red with aromas of berries, currants and raspberry with a light, balsamic note. Warm and velvety in the mouth with continued berry flavors. Fine, balanced tannins with a long finish.
