VARIETAL: 100% Gamay

VINEYARD: 20-50 year old vines; sandy granite soil on a gentle slope; south/southwestern exposure

FARMING PRACTICES: Cultivated largely by hand; vines bush-trained in goblet form; hand-harvested

WINEMAKING: 12 day, whole grape carbonic maceration; fermentation in cement vats

AGING: In cement vats; bottle aged for a minimum of 3 months

REVIEWS: "Vivid magenta. Displays fresh raspberry, cherry and floral scents that are complemented by a suave lavender nuance. Vibrant, mineral-tinged red/blue fruit and allspice flavors show very good clarity and a floral note. The penetrating and gently tannic finish hangs on with strong tenacity and leaves a sweet boysenberry note behind."
